Special edition Nissan Navara N-Guard raises the ceiling on range-topping pickup

Pickups have never been hotter and Nissan’s Navara has shown why it is one of the leading names in the segment, with a new special edition model.

Available right now, the Navara N-Guard is the most desirable variant yet, thanks to its elevated level of standard equipment and design upgrades.

It takes the flagship Tekna Navara and adds numerous noir details with the front grille, fog lamp surrounds, mirror covers, door handles and rear bumper all finished in black.

Matching side steps, roof rails and black 18-inch alloy wheels have been added and even the interior of the headlamps have been darkened, all topped off with a tinted glass sunroof as standard.

Finally, the special edition look is complete with unique decals running along the base of the sides.

While this special edition Navara focuses on black, you can actually order it in white, grey and, err, black, of course.

Buyers get all the other standard equipment they’d expect from a range-topping Navara, such as hill start assist, hill descent control, intelligent emergency braking and intelligent around view monitor. As with every Nissan light commercial vehicle, the Navara N-Guard comes with a warranty for the first five years or 100,000 miles.

The N-Guard’s name and tough, stylish attitude comes from the Nissan EnGuard concept showed off at 2016’s Hannover Motor Show. Suitably, the production N-Guard will receive its exhibition debut at this year’s Hannover Motor Show when it opens on September 19th.

Available as a double cab with the 2.3-litre diesel dCi 187bhp engine, the Navara N-Guard starts from £28,075 with the manual gearbox, rising to £29,525 for the auto.
