Set to be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show, Polestar has released previews of their new Precept Saloon, a four-door electric grand tourer that shows off their design focus for future models.

The Swedish company is expected to reveal more about the Polestar Precept at the Geneva Motor Show, aiming to define itself as a solo brand with “pure, progressive and performance” values, moving away from the connection with Volvo.

With the limited release of the Polestar 1, as well as the electric fastback Polestar 2 and the electric SUV Polestar 3, the brand has already established themselves. However, the Polestar Precept looks to provide a broader view of the firm’s direction moving forward. It is hinted that the Precept is designed to rival the Tesla Model S.

With a wheelbase reaching 3.1 meters in length, the Precept is able to hold a larger battery and features a design emphasis on comfort and legroom. On top of this, the front grille comes with a “Smartzone” that houses a variety of sensors and cameras, as well as driver-assist functions that sit behind a transparent panel.

The interior of the Precept is powered by the Android OS, building upon Precept’s partnership with Google, and features a 15-inch portrait touchscreen in the centre and a 12.5-inch digital display for the car’s instruments.

Adding an extra sense of style and exclusive luxury, the rear headrests feature a holographic Polestar logo that floats inside of a Swedish crystal. Add all of this to the eye-tracking systems that monitor the driver’s gaze and adjust the screen displays accordingly, and you have one of the best saloon cars out there.
