Motorists interested in Kia deals will be delighted to learn that the all new Kia Sportage has been awarded a top environmental certificate by the German certification agency, the TUV.
After a rigorous assessment of all environmental aspects the TUV certified that the new Kia complies with the strict environmental standards of the ISO life cycle assessment.
The life cycle assessment includes the analysis of energy consumption and emissions and the assessment of the entire life cycle impact on the basis of all data, from raw material and component production to production at the car manufacturing plant right through to recycling.
Sun-Young Kim, president of Kia Motors Europe, hailed the certificate as further proof of Kia Motor’s successful environmental strategy.
He added: "Our Research & Development centres have comprehensive expertise in the field of environmentally friendly technologies, and our modern car manufacturing plants work to the highest eco standards."
Kia revealed last week that the all new Sportage will also be available with a petrol engine after customers swamped the manufacturer with demands.
