A range of Citroen vehicles will enable motorists to drive into London without paying the congestion charge following an announcement by the Mayor of London.
London motorists looking for Citroen deals will be interested to hear that the DS3, C3 Airdream and the C-Zero are eligible for free congestion charges in 2011 as they are all Euro 5 compliant emitting less than 100g/km of CO2.
From January 4th 2011 these cars will be able to enter the congestion zone free of charge, saving London drivers around £2,500 per year.
Both the DS3 and the C3 Airdream are powered by Citroen's efficient and refined 1.6HDi 90hp engine
Linda Jackson, Citroën UK's managing director commented: "We are delighted London drivers will benefit from Citroën's low-CO2 conventionally powered and all-electric vehicles. Our models are proof that environmentally conscious transport doesn’t mean compromising on style, comfort or driver pleasure."
Citroen will launch its new family sized C4 range in January, including a 109g/km model that will reduce to 99g/km on future models, joining the sub 100g/km CO2.
