A team from a Ford dealership in York has driven a Ford Transit ECOnetic round the Battle of Britain sites, finishing in Southampton, on one tank of fuel.
The 669-mile journey, in aid of Help for Heroes and the RAF Benevolent Fund, connected 12 locations around Britain associated with the Battle of Britain to commemorate the battle's 70th anniversary.
The trip demonstrated the value for money that the ECOnetic offers to Ford customers whilst celebrating the 45th birthday of the Transit van.
Project leader, Nigel Little, said that this was the perfect time to commemorate the two events and also raise some cash for worthy causes.
The Ford ECOnetic is further demonstration of Ford's drive towards lowering CO2 emissions and making its vehicles more fuel efficient and better value for money.
