Motorists looking for Fiat 500 deals will be interested to hear that the car's low emissions means that owners will no longer need to pay the congestion charge to enter central London.
Transport for London (TfL) recently announced that it would remove the daily congestion charge for sub 100g/km CO2 cars and simply charge a £10 annual fee.
The new ruling means that Fiat 500 Twinair, which emits just 95g/km CO2, will be one of the few petrol cars entitled to travel across the capital without the driver incurring the charge.
Drivers of the Fiat 500 Twinair will have to register for the annual payment to see the benefits from January 4th 2011 when the new ruling comes into force.
Elena Bernardelli, marketing director at Fiat Group Automobiles UK Ltd, said: "This is a good decision by TfL, which recognises the dramatic steps some manufacturers have made in reducing the emissions their cars produce."
The Fiat 500 Twinair was released earlier this week and boasts fuel consumption figures of 68.9mpg, representing excellent value for money.
