In an exciting unveiling, BMW has lifted the veil on a pair of new 4 Series and M4 models, complete with facelifts for 2024.
Scheduled for release this spring, the revamped versions of the BMW 4 Series coupe and convertible, along with the formidable M4, promise to elevate driving pleasure through a blend of subtle design modifications, advanced interior technologies, and bumped-up performance.
At the heart of the 4 Series redesign are aesthetic and functional enhancements made to refine both its interior and exterior. The introduction of new LED headlights marks a significant departure from previous models, featuring two flared lights that dramatically alter the vehicles’ front fascia. This change, as well as the matte chrome finish surrounding the iconic kidney-shaped grille, black colouring on the rear bumper and slightly larger exhaust finishers, adds up to a car with an even more determined, sporty character than before.
Inside, the key change is a steering wheel with a flat bottom and standard-fit shift paddles, blending the familiar with new ideas in a way the German company only can. The subtly reshaped dashboard and expanded customisation options for the curved dual-screen infotainment display are an additional highlight.
The performance upgrades are no less impressive. BMW has streamlined the engine offerings to include only two mild-hybrid assisted petrol engines. The M440i, in particular, stands out with its bolstered 368bhp 3.0-litre straight-six petrol engine.
For the 4 Series Convertible, strengthened inner roof sections lend the benefits of a folding hardtop while maintaining the elegance and weight advantages of fabric.

The M Sport Pro and M Carbon exterior packages add darkened exterior trim, headlight optics, and carbon fibre accents and also introduce a new diffuser element and larger 100mm exhaust tips for the M Sport package.
