Honda Jazz picks up award

Honda’s Jazz has been named as the best small hatchback in the 2016 Telegraph Cars Awards.

The car was praised for its reliability following a 12 month road test by the newspaper’s expert panel.

One of Honda's most popular cars, the Jazz is now on its third generation since being launched in 2001. So far, five million units have been sold and it is produced in seven countries.

"Many have tried to copy the Jazz’s formula for success, but nothing does it quite so well. For a small car interior space is impressive, and Honda’s reliability record is superb," said the Telegraph’s judging panel.

Phil Webb, head of cars at Honda UK, welcomed the reward and added: “Being recognised by one of the foremost motoring teams at one of our national newspapers is a fantastic accolade for both the brand and the Jazz.

"The Jazz is a very important model for us, with an extremely loyal following, so we look forward to seeing this success continue."
