Stars turn out to celebrate Ford B-MAX success

Celebrities have been toasting the sales success of the Ford B-MAX.

Taking leadership of the multi-activity vehicle (MAV) market in the UK is something certainly worth celebrating – and a number of celebrities have turned out to help Ford and its B-MAX model do just that.

The car is top of the sales tree for this category after just six months of going on volume sale, with last month seeing the vehicle accounting for one in four small MAVs sold in the UK.

Famous faces and fans of the motor have been lining up to mark the occasion, including Fifth Gear presenter Vicki Butler-Henderson.

Butler-Henderson has clocked up more than 8,000 miles in her B-MAX, such is the busy nature of her responsibilities as a mother, TV presenter and journalist.

She said: "I've tested the nippy new Ford B-MAX with sliding rear doors, which have proved a godsend to me when parking in the slimmest of spots."

Another celebrity Ford driver is The Dark Knight and Pirates of the Caribbean star Winston Ellis, who has been speeding around in a range of models from the carmaker as he has been establishing a new initiative called Project Postcode.

This scheme targets the most vulnerable postcode areas with regard to knife crime, alcohol and drug abuse – and uses the power of film and music to communicate with teenagers about the modern day problems they face.

Ellis explained his commitment to his charitable causes mean he is forever on the road – and the latest Ford he has been getting to grips with is a C-MAX.

The actor stated: "Ford's SYNC connectivity system on my C-MAX links to my phone, downloading its contacts and playlists for hands-free calls and Bluetooth music streaming."

Bend It Like Beckham and Bride and Prejudice director Gurinder Chadha has been getting around in a seven-seat C-MAX Grand for the last two years and explained the vehicle is ideal for the family, especially when taking the twins on play dates with their friends.
