All New Land Rover Defender UK Prices Confirmed

Land Rover has finally announced and confirmed the official price of the new Defender for the UK, specifically for the entry-level 90 Spec.

Land Rover has finally announced and confirmed the official price of the new Defender for the UK, specifically for the entry-level 90 Spec. On top of this, orders have now begun for deliveries that are set to begin in the Summer.

The new Land Rover Defender has taken a lot of inspiration from the classic design and style of the original, becoming a mainstream model for the global market, after the original Defender was removed from sale in 2016.

When the model was taken off the market in 2016, just 5,000 models were delivered to retail purchasers. If you take bulk orders into account as well, that pushes the total sales up to around 15,000 Land Rover Defenders. That means that the new Defender needs to sell roughly 5 times that amount in order to be sustainable for Land Rover.

Due to this, they have announced that the UK price of the new Land Rover Defender will be just £40,290 for the 90 Spec model, which can accommodate 6 people despite its two-door design. However, if you would prefer the larger 110 Spec model, that will cost £45,240 in the UK.

Later in the year, these will also be joined by the commercial-focused derivative, which will be available for £35,000 plus VAT. Land Rover has yet to confirm the UK price of their hybrid variant of the new Defender, which is set to become available after the commercial derivative.

As well as the pricing levels, the new Land Rover Defender has been engineered to meet global regulations, in order to help achieve the required sales figures.
