Top car maker Audi has revealed its latest model to go on sale in the UK.
The new Audi S8 Plus will be capable of delivering 0 to 62 mph in 3.8 seconds and has a limited top speed of 189 mph.
Of course, this comes with a steep price tag of around £100,000, but it could offer a real alternative to other luxury saloon models such as the Porsche 911 and the Jaguar XJR.
The Audi S8 Plus has been constructed from aluminium and makes use of a 4.0-litre turbocharged V8 engine, which produces the equivalent power of seven petrol 1.0-litre Audi A1 hatchbacks.
In terms of gearbox, Audi has gone for an eight-speed automatic setup, alongside a quattro four-wheel drive system that sends power to the rear wheels at different rates to increase stability when the car is cornering.
Buyers will be able to choose from a number of additional options including a Dynamic Package which increases the top speed and adds carbon-ceramic brakes.
The S8 Plus will be available in an exclusive matt paint finish plus the colours already offered on the standard A8 and S8 models.
Interior-wise, the S8 Plus has leather sports seats with various power adjustments, as well as a 14-speaker BOSE stereo system and automatic parking system.
