Citroen C-ZERO customers promised £5,000 government grant

Motorists looking for efficient Citroen deals may wish to check out the Citroen C-ZERO which was recently announced in a list of vehicles entitled to a £5,000 grant for customers choosing the electric vehicle for January 1st 2011.

Citroen's C-ZERO is one of the first European manufacturers to bring a full-electric vehicle to the market.

In the UK Citroen has put together a "peace of mind" package which allows customers to lease the C-ZERO for £415 a month over four years with free servicing and maintenance.

Linda Jackson, Citroen UK's managing director, said: "We are delighted that our environmentally-considerate C-ZERO has been recognised for the £5,000 grant.

"A comfortable, economical and practical mode of transport for town and city drivers, C-ZERO is one of the first truly viable solutions for the future of urban motoring."

As well as a £5,000 grant, the C-ZERO delivers low running costs with a recharge costing as little as £1.50, free VED and free parking in a number of locations.

A recent Transport for London announcement also guaranteed free congestion charge for motorists driving a Citroen C-ZERO.
