The new Citroen
eTouch Emergency & Assistance System has been awarded the prestigious Euro NCAP Advanced accolade at the Paris Motor Show.
The manufacturer's innovative eTouch system features an automatic emergency SOS call function in the event of an accident.
Drivers who buy a new Citroen will also have the ability to manually call for assistance and roadside recovery by simply pressing one button.
A built in GPS and SIM card system send the exact location of the vehicle to a central call centre to allow swift recovery.
The system also allows drivers to consult information online in their My Citroen personal space, which enables them to monitor vehicle maintenance requirements and access advice on improving fuel economy and other helpful tips.
Citroen's eTouch Emergency & Assistance system will be available in the UK on the new C4, C5 AND DS3 models as well as the C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso.
