Citroen reveals C5 Aircross

Citroen will launch its new SUV at this year’s Shanghai Motor Show in China.

The new C5 Aircross is expected to go on sale in Europe by the end of 2018 and could benefit from the strong demand within the SUV market.

Citroen’s new model will feature a new suspension system to offer a smooth ride, as well as cutting edge technology to improve driver and passenger comfort.

Drivers will benefit from a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and an eight-inch touchscreen. Citroen has also developed a number of driving aids, including Active Safety Brake, Active Lane Departure Warning and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop Function.

"The New C5 Aircross is the symbol of a brand with strong momentum, in touch with the expectations of customers in regions all over the world. It is the first practical illustration of our offensive on the SUV market, illustrating our ability to approach it in our own way, with greater emphasis on character, comfort and on-board well-being. New C5 Aircross will clearly be a major growth driver for Citroen,” explained Linda Jackson, Citroen’s chief executive officer.

There will be a range of colours available including Pearl White, Perla Nera Black, Platinium Grey and Volcano Orange. However, details of engine options and transmission choices have yet to be confirmed by the automaker.
