DS Automobiles, the premium automobile marque, has revealed their latest concept; the Aero Sport Lounge. The French firm has been able to design and create a beautiful new model that boasts a 671bhp electric engine, derived from true motorsport design. This has been mixed with an aerodynamic exterior to wow those at the Geneva motor show.

The firm has stated that the new aerodynamic design for the coupe-SUV is to show that cars can be built to maximise efficiency without “ giving up character and strong design”. They have also said that the Aero Sport Lounge reinvents the standard expectations of an interior by minimising the use of display screens.

DS design chief Thierry Metroz has exclaimed that the firm wanted to give “a clear willingness to offer luxury while still thinking about our environmental footprint” by using the Aero Sport Lounge concept.

Instead of using a typical engine grille, DS Automobiles have opted to install a screen with a variety of sensors, whilst the lights use the firm’s latest “light veil” technology, which they plan to use on all future cars.

With a design focusing on aerodynamics and efficiency, the Aero Sport Lounge features a steeply raked roof and comes in at a length of 5000mm. This, mixed with the powerful 671bhp electric engine, means that the Aero Sport Lounge is a wonderful example of how modern design can work alongside up to date technology.

The Aero Sport Lounge is also DS Automobiles second concept to feature a Formula E powertrain, after their X E-Tense concept in 2018.
