Efficient engines added to Picanto range

Environmentally-friendly motorists looking for Kia deals may wish to check out the new generation of Kia Picantos.

The new Picanto now offers greatly reduced CO2 emissions and vastly improved fuel economy.

Picanto customers will have the four all-new super-efficient powertrains to choose from, three versions of the one-litre Kappa engine (petrol, flex fuel and bi-fuel) and a 1.2-litre petrol Kappa unit.

The engines will be mated to a choice of five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmissions, depending on model.

Making its bow at the Geneva Motor Show in March, the new Picanto has been redesigned and re-engineered with stand-out styling delivering a sense of solidity and maturity.

For the first time in its history, the Picanto will be offered in both three and five-door versions, which the Korean manufacturer believes will redefine its position as one of the most competitive vehicles in the "city car" A-segment.

Kia is planning to announce its pricing structure for the new Picanto closer to its spring launch date.
