Drivers looking for Fiat deals will be interested to hear that Fiat has demonstrated its environmental credentials by registering the lowest CO2 emissions for cars sold in Europe for in the first half of 2010.
Automotive advisor JATO corroborated the average figure of 123.5g/km across the Nissan range.
The low CO2 emissions offered by Fiat mean that customers will save money in the long run as less road tax is paid on cars with lower emission figures.
Fiat is ahead of many of the other top brands with Toyota averaging 128.0g/km, Citroen 133.4g/km, Ford 137.0g/km and Volkswagen 142.2g/km.
The Fiat 500 has been ranked as the best car for CO2 emissions with 116.0g/km, the Fiat Panda comes second with 118.9g/km and the Fiat Punto in fourth position with a figure of 123.5g/km.
These ecological achievements are the result of Fiat's long term strategy to implement technology aimed at containing consumption and emissions and to encourage motorists to use their cars more responsibly.
