Specification upgrades have been added to the Fiat Punto.
The Fiat Punto supermini range has been enhanced thanks to new specification upgrades and a new sporting trim level.
A revised line-up of four main trim levels – Pop, Easy, GBT and the new Sporting – are now available for the car, which can be bought with either three or four doors and a choice of five low-emission Euro 5 engines.
It is anticipated that the updates will result in even more value for money for customers checking out the latest Fiat deals.
Improvements to the specification include colour-coded door handles and door mirrors, a driver's knee airbag as standard and a new dashboard with diamond embossing – something that is now aligned to the rest of the range.
Elena Bernadelli, marketing director for Fiat UK, said: "Fiat's Punto has always been a popular choice in the supermini segment.
"This popularity is set to continue as the revised Punto range offers customers a stylish, safe, fun to drive package with enhanced levels of specification, wider choice and outstanding value for money."
For the entry-level Pop model, standard equipment includes remote central locking, driver and passenger airbags, window airbags, electric front windows, radio/CD/MP3 player, a height-adjustable driver's seat and Dualdrive electric power steering.
Trim levels for both the Easy and GBT have been improved, thanks to new black Castiglio fabric seats and fog lights with cornering function, in addition to dashboard and door ambient lighting and side airbags, which come as standard.
As a replacement for the previous 15-inch Sportline alloy wheels, the GBT trim level will now boast 16-inch seven-spoke two-tone Sportline alloy wheels.
It is hoped that the enhancements made to the Fiat Punto Sporting – which include updates to both the interior and exterior of the vehicle – will make it particularly appealing to younger drivers.
Fiat recently released a new limited edition of the Punto – the Punto Jet Black – which is notable for its dark and sleek body and the fact just 300 of the cars have been made.
