Fiat tops CO2 reduction rankings

Motorists looking for environmentally-friendly vehicles may wish to check out new Fiat deals.

The Fiat brand and the Fiat Group both recorded Europe's lowest volume-weighted CO2 emissions across their vehicle ranges, according to tests carried out by JATO Dynamics, the world's leading automotive consultancy and research firm.

Fiat recorded a CO2 average of just 123.1g/km which placed it at the top of all brands for the fourth year running, and well ahead of the 2015 European target of 130g/km.

The Italian manufacturer also ranked first among motor groups with a figure of 125g/km, an improvement of 5g/km on last year's figures. The figure takes into account all of Fiat's brands, including Ferrari supercars and Maserati's high performance vehicles.

"Every year Fiat is raising the bar in terms of fuel consumption reduction and respect for the environment, and it is rewarding that we have posted the best figures for the fourth consecutive year," said Elena Bernardelli, marketing director, Fiat Group Automobiles UK and Ireland.

Fiat recently introduced a brand new MyLife range of vehicles, focused on style and technology, with a particular emphasis on choice and value for money.
