Ford has revealed it is updating its Mondeo executive car range.
The manufacturer announced the collection will now include the Ford Mondeo Graphite and Titanium X Business Edition, which it is hoped will replicate the commercial success of the Mondeo Zetec Business Edition.
While the Mondeo Graphite aims to provide high aesthetics and advanced interior features, the Titanium X Business Edition is being promoted as a model that boasts the highest of standards with regard to technology and luxury.
Environmentally-conscious motorists checking out the latest Ford deals may be drawn to the vehicles for their green qualities.
Both are equipped with the 2.0-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engine, which results in CO2 emissions from 119 g/km for both 140PS and 163PS power outputs.
In addition, fuel consumption for these models has improved from 57.6 mpg to 61.4 mpg.
Mark Ovenden, managing director at Ford Britain, said: "This upgrade offers Ford Mondeo customers more features, at a more competitive price, as well as outstanding fuel economy.
"This winning formula has always played a key role in Mondeo's success and these significant range enhancements will grow its popularity among UK families."
Barb Samardzich, vice president of product development at Ford Europe, explained the manufacturer's engineers have been working hard to make sure they are able to produce vehicles that can deliver both high power and low CO2 emissions, while at the same time providing great real-world fuel efficiency.
Ms Samardzich added these motors also have to carry on providing the driving quality that Mondeos are famous for.
The carmaker revealed it has also refined the calibration of the Mondeo's 2.0-litre Duratorq diesel engine, in addition to optimising the aerodynamics, which has resulted in the five-door version achieving 119 g/km targeted CO2 emissions and the five-door edition reducing to 120 g/km.
Another Ford model proving popular of late is the Kuga, with the brand revealing production of the vehicle is being increased to meet high demand.
