Ford has become the preferred choice for the British emergency services.
Thanks to its reliability and strong performance, the entire Ford range – from the humble Ford Fiesta through to the Ford Transit – has been awarded with a preferred status mark by the National Policing Improvement Agency (NPIA) and the National Association of Police Fleet Managers (NAPFM).
The mark singles out Ford as a preferred procurement partner when it comes to the acquisition of new emergency services vehicles.
It means that police, fire and ambulance service across the UK may be on the lookout for the best Ford deals when they come to replace their aging fleets.
Terry Adams, Ford's direct sales manager for police, fire and ambulance, said: "Ford has worked closely with the NPIA and NAPFM developing unique 'one-stop shop' products and turnkey solutions."
"Ford is proud of its long relationship with the emergency services and we are looking forward to new challenges and continuing to work together as partners," he added.
Ford is set to debut its new Transit Connect Electric at the inaugural RAC Future Car Challenge.
