Ford’s new Kuga is playing a big part at the Uefa Champions Festival.
The likes of Bayern Munich favourite Arjen Robben and Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski will not be the only stars of this year's Uefa Champions League Final, as the new Ford Kuga also has an important role to play.
Featured heavily in the build-up to the showpiece game, the car is to also take centre stage at the four-day Uefa Champions Festival, where attendees – including those on the lookout for the latest Ford deals – can take the vehicle for a test drive.
The match – which will see Bayern taking on Dortmund in the first-ever all-German Champions League Final – is being staged at Wembley Stadium tomorrow (May 25th), while the festival is taking place at the Olympic Park in Stratford until May 26th.
In addition to the test drives, visitors will also be treated to performance driving shows involving the new Ford Fiesta ST, with four unique displays from special guest driver Ken Block set to wow the crowds.
The final will also be attended by 360 winners from 27 countries of the Drive to Wembley competition, which was organised by Ford and is being led by the Kuga.
Roelant de Waard, vice-president for marketing, sales and service at Ford of Europe, said: "This is our largest ever presence at the Champions Festival and comes on the back of our record-breaking giveaway of Uefa Champions League Final tickets.
"Just as the Uefa Champions League Final showcases the best of European football, the Champions Festival will showcase some of the best technologies from our talented lineup of Ford vehicles."
Those who get behind the wheel of the Kuga during the festival will have the chance to get to grips with some of the car's new features, including the segment-first hands-free tailgate and Ford Sync with Emergency Assistance, which are aimed at improving the dynamics of driving thanks to an intelligent all-wheel drive system.
This year's Champions League tournament has seen Ford continuing a partnership with the competition that has been in place since the 1992-1993 season.
