Ford Transit goes red to celebrate 45 yrs as top seller

Ford is celebrating the Ford Transit becoming Britain's best-selling van for the 45th year by releasing 100 special edition Transit SportVan models in a distinctive red livery.

The SportVan was introduced to the Ford Transit range in 2006 and has been very successful with all previous editions selling out.

Those looking to get their hands on new Ford deals will be interested to hear that the limited edition van features Colorado Red paintwork, with white bonnet stripes, twin exhausts and 18 inch graphite colour alloy wheels.

Ford of Britain's marketing director, Mark Simpson, said: "We know that 'white van man' is image conscious both personally and for his business. The SportVan is a real head-turner as well as a reliable workhorse."

Inside the cab, velour trim, air conditioning, a six CD player, cruise control and tinted glass make the SportVan one of the most comfortable vans on today's market.

The cab is also filled with gadgets such as a satellite navigation system with a five inch colour screen and for the first time in a medium van, a DAB radio as standard.
