Ford has revealed details of its latest Kuga SUV following a number of high-tech upgrades.
Unveiled at the recent Geneva Motor Show, the Kuga offers Sync 3 connectivity, hands-free parking and Active City Stop options.
Buyers will also be able to choose from new colours including Guard Grey and Copper Pulse, as well as enjoy a slimline interior with improved comfort
and a heated steering wheel.
Ford has also added a new 120PS 1.5-litre TDCi diesel to the available engine options. The block will be built at the automaker’s plant in Dagenham and offers drivers increased fuel efficiency.
"New Kuga offers cutting-edge new features and technologies that will help drivers stay connected, comfortable, safe and stylish on the road,” said Joe Bakaj, vice president of product development, Ford of Europe.
He added: "The sophisticated redesign has given Kuga a fresh and modern feel, while Sync 3 enables drivers to communicate with their vehicle and connected devices in seamless ways that would have seemed impossible just a few years ago.”
The updated Kuga is just one of the new SUV/crossover models that Ford is planning to release over the next three years as demand continues to increase for such vehicles.
According to data from automobile market analyst HIS, purchases of SUV models are set to equal around 27 per cent of all European vehicle sales by 2020.
