Ford unveils new Transit development

The latest Ford deals are about to get more exciting thanks to the addition of a modified Transit van known as the Pharmavan.

Ford engineers have developed the van specifically for the pharmaceuticals sector in order to keep sensitive supplies at the correct, ambient temperature while in transit.

The manufacturer provided AAH Pharmaceuticals with 270 Ford models to add to its 800-strong fleet as well as a special air-conditioned load area in a long-wheelbase Ford Transit 300.

Geoff Wright praised the ability of the new vans to keep products at the correct temperature, but also welcomed the boost in fuel consumption, the reduction of running costs and the lower CO2 emissions provided by the Ford models.

Alphonso Cain, Ford fleet business manager, said: "AAH has been a Ford customer since the Transit van arrived 46 years ago, so it’s pleasing to help the company in this way.

The 'Pharmavan' is the perfect bespoke solution for AAH, which will provide the company great cost savings in the coming years."
