Hyundai has released details of its Ioniq model ahead of it going on sale in the UK.
The car, which will be available with a choice of three electrified powertrains, could be a rival to the popular Prius.
Prices are expected to start at £19,995 for the entry-level model, while the top-of-the-range model will cost £30,740.
Buyers opting for the five-door hatchback will be able to choose between a hybrid or as a fully electric vehicle, and choose from three trims – the entry-level SE, the mid-range Premium and the Premium SE.
Hyundai also stressed the car’s aerodynamically efficient design featuring active air intakes that can open and close to help reduce drag.
Interior-wise, the car has a seven-inch touchscreen which supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as standard cruise control, rear parking sensors and DAB digital radio.
