Kia announces new sales record

Drivers looking for Kia deals will be interested to hear that the manufacturer has smashed its previous yearly sales record, racking up 56,114 sales in 2010.

The manufacturer also claimed 2.8 per cent of the market share, shrugging off any lasting effects of the recession with a range of new models.

All its new models come with a fully transferable seven-year warranty offering customers fantastic reliability and value for money.

Sales director Yaser Shabsogh said: "It is clear that good value and quality products have bucked the trend and that has allowed us to pass 2009's record total of 50,636 vehicles by a very strong margin."

He added that the Kia cee'd and Picanto had driven sales and the brand new Sorento and Venga were attracting new customers to the brand all the time.

Many experts had predicted a difficult year for the motor industry in the UK following the end of the government scrappage scheme but Kia's results have bucked the expected trend.
