Kia Picanto picks up design award

Just months after it was launched, the new three-door Kia Picanto has picked up the coveted iF product design award.

Those looking for Kia Picanto deals may be interested to hear that the model was praised for its design quality, innovation, eco-friendliness and the workmanship that went into manufacturing it.

The recognition of the Picanto's design is not the first time the Korean manufacturer has been praised for its design, as it picked up awards for the Venga B-segment MPV, Sportage compact SUV and Optima mid-size saloon.

Kia's chief design officer, Peter Schreyer, said: "The second generation Picanto displays a very purposeful, self-assured design, and its sportiness is particularly underscored by the three-door version."

The new Picanto is the first to be offered in three-door form where it is expected to account for 45 per cent of total Picanto sales in the UK.

Picanto is available with two highly-efficient petrol engines which reduce CO2 emissions to as little as 95 g/km.
