Motorists looking for Mazda deals will be interested to hear that the manufacturer's sporty MX-5 Miata has broken a world record after the 900,000th vehicle rolled off the production line.
The car, which is the longest running model from Mazda, originally broke the world record when production reached a total of 531,890 cars in May, 2000.
Mazda's senior managing executive officer in charge of development, Seita Kanai, said: "As we head toward the next production milestone of one million units, Mazda is committed to further evolving the MX-5. We will refine its fun-to-drive character and further enhance its environmental and safety capabilities."
He added that Mazda is now focusing on its 100th anniversary celebrations which will take place in 2019.
Earlier this week, Mazda announced the release of five special edition Takuya models across the Mazda2, Mazda3 and Mazda6 line-ups.
It added that it has plans to produce 3,894 special editions in total.
