Motorists looking for Mazda deals may be interested to hear that the manufacturer has been selected as the official provider of police vehicles.
Mazda has gained a place on the latest National Policing Improvement Agency (NPIA) agreement, meaning it will supply "standard vehicles" used on covert and special operations.
The UK's police forces will have a range of Mazda3, Mazda5, Mazda6 and CX-7 models available to choose from.
Mazda's agreement has also been made available to all blue-light services for the first time, allowing fire, NHS and coastguard services to use the new framework to buy Mazda vehicles.
Jason Jenkins, Mazda's regional corporate sales manager, said: "Police fleet managers have opted for our vehicles due to their reliability, responsive engines and agility."
The manufacturer believes that the Mazda3 MPS 2.3-litre will prove to be the biggest seller to police forces due to its top speed of 155mph.
NPIA has predicted that the new agreement is likely to save the police service over £3 million a year.
