Renault’s new Megane Sport Tourer is set to go on sale in December and the automaker has revealed details of pricing for the much-anticipated model.
Buyers will be able to purchase the estate car for £18,550, which is slightly more expensive than main rival the Ford Focus Estate, but more affordable than the Seat Leon ST or VW Golf estate.
There will be a total of six different trim levels on offer, as well as four different engine options.
Renault is offering a 128bhp 1.2-litre petrol engine as standard, although there is the option to upgrade to a seven-speed EDC automatic.
Other engine choices at the time of launch are a 108bhp 1.5-litre diesel, a 128bhp 1.6-litre diesel and a 202bhp 1.6-litre petrol option.
Figures show the 108bhp diesel option with a manual gearbox will offer 76.4mpg and have emissions of 96g/km.
In terms of trim, the entry-level choice is the Expression+, followed by Dynamique Nav, Dynamique S Nav, Signature Nav, GT Line Nav and the top option, the GT Nav.
All cars as standard will have LED daytime running lights, 16-inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth connectivity, a leather steering wheel and tinted windows.
While the top of the range GT Nav will cost £27,450 and feature sportier bodywork, a bespoke steering wheel and special GT details.
