MG has revealed plans to launch an all-new electric sports car in 2020.
The automaker confirmed at the Shanghai Motor Show the E-Motion will be put into production by 2020 and will appeal to eco-friendly buyers looking for sleek sports car.
MG is expected to be able to cover zero to 62 mph in less than four seconds and will offer a range of 310 miles on a single charge.
Matthew Cheyne, MG UK’s head of sales and marketing, said: “The MG E-motion electric supercar concept demonstrates our global vision for the future.
"Alongside leading the way in design and capability, the next-generation model is the latest step in achieving the ultimate driving experience.”
It is expected the new sports car will having a starting price of around £30,000 and could be set to offer buyers an alternative to the Tesla Model S.
