An Insignia Tourer has been delivered to Vauxhall's Help For Heroes Ambassador.
Private Derek Derenalagi received the specially-adapted vehicle as it will help him to travel after an explosion in Afghanistan left him without his legs.
The vehicle has several features to help him drive it, such as an integral indicator switch, a hand control push/pull brake/accelerator, as well as a quick-release steering ball.
Mr Derenalagi said: "I’d like to thank Vauxhall sincerely for the use of this great car. I’m training five days a week now [for the summer Paralympics in London], in addition to attending events for Help for Heroes, so it will certainly get plenty of use."
He received the keys to his new vehicle at Vauxhall's Luton HQ from the firm's motability sales and marketing manager, Hayley Ingram.
Ms Ingram said that it was a proud occasion and that the company was pleased to support those who had helped the country.
In a recent review, Carpages.co.uk gave the Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer4.5 stars out of five for handling.
