New Ford deals have helped to boost the car market throughout the month of April.
Two of the manufacturer’s vehicles were in the top three in terms of sales for the month, with new Ford Fiesta deals helping the model to be the most popular car on the market last month.
Ford Focus deals were also popular among Britain’s motorists, with more than 6,000 of the models sold in April, boosting the yearly number of the cars sold to 34,256, second only to the Ford Fiesta.
Paul Everitt, chief executive of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, said: "April was another good month for the UK motor industry with private buyers responding positively, despite the end of the scrappage scheme."
New Vauxhall deals were also popular choices for drivers in the UK, with the Vauxhall Astra the second biggest selling vehicle in April.
Earlier this year, Ford announced an upgrade to its Fiesta model, giving drivers of the vehicle more power and less CO2 emissions.
