New Vauxhall deals can help to reduce back strain for drivers, the manufacturer has stated.
According to the carmaker, the new rear-hinged back doors on its Vauxhall Meriva make the model ideal for families.
Scientific tests show that the car can help to reduce back strain by as much as 58 per cent compared to others, because lifting objects in and out of the back of the vehicle is "effortless".
Vauxhall stated that this will be particularly useful for those with children who want to compare new Vauxhall deals, as parents can fit and remove child seats easier.
Dr James Shippen of Coventry University said: "The results speak for themselves – you’ll be putting significantly less strain on your back with this car."
This comes after the carmaker announced that it is to launch its new VXR8 model at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed, which takes place from July 2nd-4th 2010.
