New Vauxhall Zafira to debut in Geneva

The new Zafira Tourer Concept will make its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week and give the strongest hint at what the final production version will look like.

Motorists looking for new Vauxhall deals will be able to catch a glimpse of the new Zafira, which has been dubbed the "lounge-on-wheels".

According to Vauxhall, the new Zafira Tourer comes with the same high degree of flexibility that the Zafira has been famed for over its 12 year history.

"We have transferred the idea of a relaxing lounge to a vehicle and created an automobile oasis, a place to relax and enjoy," said Mark Adams, Vauxhall's vice-president of design.

The Zafira Tourer boasts a panoramic windscreen that flows into a glass roof for the rear of the car and LEDs and metallic particles embedded in the cabin's interior reflect light to give off a warm glow.

A large touchscreen display has been added to the Tourer and thanks to the flexible and pivot-mounted tablet PCs on the front seat backs, passengers in the second row can comfortably surf the internet or control multi-media applications.
