Nissan performs well in Driver Power survey

Motorists looking for Nissan deals will be interested to hear that the manufacturer has achieved top marks in the Driver Power survey.

The poll, conducted by Auto Express magazine, named Nissan the most improved brand in Britain and also awarded the Qashqai a class leading position.

Nissan's Qashqai topped the People Carrier class in the survey, which took into account the opinions of 23,000 motorists, and also secured fifth place in the top 100 cars on the market.

Paul Willcox, managing director of Nissan Motor (GB), said: "We are delighted to have achieved such great results in Driver Power, a survey that means so much more because our rankings and ratings are determined by our customers."

Another Nissan model that enjoyed a marked improvement in the 2011 survey was the Note, which improved 27 places and finished in 32nd in the top 100 cars.

Both successful Nissan models are manufactured at the Sunderland plant.
