Drive & Trim Options
The Nissan Qashqai is a gentle ride that can handle bumps without waking up the kids in the back, and the new model follows that same line. Commanding the Qashqai even on country roads is never going to satisfy the thrill-seekers, but for practical family life, few SUVs handle it better.
When talking trim options for the new Nissan Qashqai, diesel fans will be disappointed. Diesel is generally on its way out in the motor industry, and the Qashqai has ditched it in favour of a plug-in hybrid setup. The key model is the e-Power edition, which grants you 190bhp and approximately 55mpg in fuel efficiency when driving normally. You have access to Nissan’s e-Pedal braking system which generates power as you brake, which is a big factor in that very appealing fuel economy. Meanwhile, the entry-level petrol version is a 1.3L that has 138bhp, but you can upgrade this to 155bhp with the Tekna and Acenta versions.
