Nissan Qashqai scoops award

Nissan Qashqai deals could become an even more popular choice for British motorists over the coming months, after the model won an industry award.

It was named Best Crossover at the recent 2010 Fleet World Honours, showing that the vehicle has become one of the very best on the market since its launch in 2006.

Chairman of the judges Steve Moody said: "When almost every other manufacturer talks about having a ‘Qashqai rival’, it’s apparent that Nissan’s crossover has defined an entirely new market."

Nissan Qashqai deals may not be the only vehicle from the manufacturer to be set for a boost in popularity, as the Nissan Navara was also an award-winner.

It came out on top in the pickup category, with Fleet World editor John Kendall stating that the model’s latest improvements have led to it ousting the previous winner, the Mitsubishi L200.

Earlier this year, the manufacturer announced that prices for the new Nissan Navara will start at less than £20,000.
