The new Renault crossover is set to be available to order in July, with delivery starting in September.
Prices will be from £17,995 for the Kadjar, which will share a number of components with the popular Nissan Qashqai, despite significantly undercutting the established model's price.
Renault will be hoping to cash in on the growing crossover market and become a viable alternative to the Mazda CX-5, Kia Sportage and Hyundai ix35.
The Kadjar will be available in four different trim options and with three engines. The trim levels start with Expression+, followed by Dynamique Nav, priced from £19,695, Dynamique S Nav from £20,495 and Signature Nav at £21,695.
Buyers will be able to select from one petrol engine – a turbocharged 1.2-litre TCe with 128 bhp – as well as a 1.5-litre dCi diesel with 109 bhp and a 1.6-litre dCi diesel offering 128 bhp.
Front-wheel drive is available on most of the models, with pricing starting at £24,295 for the option.
Anyone looking for good fuel economy will want to consider buying a Kadjar in the Expression+ and Dynamique Nav trim fitted with the 109 bhp diesel, as these offer a combined fuel economy of 74.3 mpg and emit 99g/km in carbon emissions.
LED daytime lights, air conditioning, Bluetooth, electric windows and a digital radio are fitted as standard to all Kadjar models.
