SsangYong is set to launch a total of five new models in the UK by 2021 as it continues to expand its international market.
The automaker is planning the first of the launches for the start of 2017 and will focus on the use of alternative powertrains.
Anand Mahindra, head of the Mahindra Group which owns SsangYong, told Auto Express, the company is set to reveal a new model annually until 2012.
In particular, sales of the Tivoli SUV have encouraged SsangYong to commit more to the UK market.
Before the end of 2016, an updated version of the popular SUV is expected to go on sale. The Tivoli XLV will appeal to those looking for a more spacious crossover. Meanwhile, SsangYong have not dismissed the idea of a convertible option as well.
The future range of models is expected to include new versions of the Rexton SUV and the Turismo MPV.
