Ahead of the Geneva Motor Show next week, Hyundai has unveiled the new interior design for their i20 range of models, which is a significant departure in style when compared to previous iterations of the supermini.

Coming with two 10.25 inch screens and a seven-speaker Bose sound system, you can instantly see and hear the difference in the new i20 compared to the older variants. Hyundai has also added ambient lighting to the interior, as well as a “blade” design that runs horizontally across the dashboard.

On top of this, the digital display cluster will actually change colour depending on which drive mode you have selected and the touchscreen gives access to a host of Hyundai connectivity options. These include live traffic updates, weather data and petrol station location information, as well as smartphone connectivity.

Hyundai has stated the new interior design for the i20 represents their “revolutionary and ambitious” new take on style, with the theme of achieving “sensuous sportiness” with their models.

They have also announced the that latest i10 will feature a watered-down version of the new i20’s interior, whilst the upcoming i30 facelift model will also use similar design methods. More information about these models is expected at the Geneva Motor Show.

As of yet, Hyundai has not officially announced the UK pricing for the new i20, although the expected entry point for the model sits at £15,000. For the highest spec variants of the Hyundai i20, the estimated cost comes in at just £20,000.
