VW looks ahead to 2016

The latest sales figures from Volkswagen show the company delivered a total of 5.82 million cars during 2015.

After a challenging year, VW is keen to put the troubles of the past 12 months behind and focus on plans for 2016.

Jurgen Stackmann, member of the board of management of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand responsible for sales, marketing and after-sales, explained: “We will continue to focus on winning back customers’ trust because customer satisfaction is and will remain one of our most valuable assets.

“At the same time we are optimizing our global selling power and stepping on the gas with new models.”

VW is currently relaunching the popular Touran, the new Tiguan is set to be updated and the new Beetle Dune and the GTI Club Sport will be released before the end of the year.

Mr Stackmann added: “All Volkswagen employees are highly motivated and are working on shaping the future of this great automobile brand and continuing to build outstanding cars.”
