Vauxhall Combo Van Priced From £15,630, Coming December

The fifth generation of Vauxhall’s popular Combo van is coming at the end of the year, with prices starting at just over £15,000.

Vauxhall has announced an all-new Combo van set to hit showrooms in December. Better still, they have set a base price point of just £15,630, making it one of the cheapest base models on the market.

Similar to its sister models – the Citroen Berlingo and Peugeot Rifter – the Vauxhall Combo targets a car-like performance and environment, backed up with technology found in most everyday hatchbacks such as an eight-inch touchscreen and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Knowing that practicality comes first with a van, the Vauxhall Combo cargo capacity is a segment-leading cargo capacity of over 1,000kg, and is available in both petrol and diesel engines. If they perform as Vauxhall claim, they will be one of the best in class for fuel economy and CO2 efficiency.

Vauxhall Combo Van Engine Options

The range of engines available in the new fifth-generation Vauxhall Combo van includes a five-speed manual 1.6-litre diesel with either 74bhp or 98bhp, and a 128bhp 1.5-litre diesel available as a six-speed manual or eight-speed auto.

A petrol option will join the range from Q3 2019 – a 1.2-litre unit producing 108 or 128bhp, again available as a six-speed manual or eight-speed auto.

From launch, the most efficient combination will be the 98bhp 1.6-litre diesel, with CO2 emissions of 109g/km and a combined fuel economy of 67mpg.

Combo Trims and Prices

The Vauxhall Combo van will be available in three trims: Edition, Sportive and Limited Edition NAV (commonly shortened to LE NAV).

Priced from £15,630 excluding VAT, the Combo Edition is the base model and features a four-way adjustable driver seat and practically-designed under-seat storage. It rides on 15-inch wheels and comes with a fixed steel bulkhead, kerbside sliding door and overhead storage for easy loading. Additionally, the cabin includes a five-inch display radio with Bluetooth and DAB, one-touch windows and electric and heated exterior mirrors.

The mid-spec Vauxhall Combo Sportive starts at £17,705 and builds on the Edition model by adding a six-way driver seat with lumbar support, as well as a four-way passenger seat, larger 16-inch wheels and air conditioning. Vauxhall has also added rear parking sensors, cruise control, a speed limiter and a security alarm.

The range-topping Vauxhall Combo LE NAV models begin at £18,905 and include body colour exterior mirrors, exterior door handles, side protection mouldings, a front bumper skid plate and an eight-inch touchscreen.

As an alternative offering for crew van drivers, the Vauxhall Combo Crewvan starts from £18,605 and is fitted with a fold-flat passenger seat and two-position caged bulkhead that moves forward when the second-row seats are folded down. The model also includes a protective bag that prevents any interior damage that may be caused by longer loads.
