Fiat reveals new pick-up truck

Fiat has launched its Fullback pick-up at the UK’s Commercial Vehicle Show.

The car will be on general sale in June and Fiat will be hoping to cash in on the increasing demand for such trucks as daily drivers rather than business only options.

Based on a Mitsubishi L200, the Fullback comes with either a 150bhp or 180bhp 2.4-litre diesel engine, with four-wheel drive fitted as standard.

Buyers can also choose between a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic gearbox, while the model will be available with two different trim options.

The official prices have yet to be confirmed but it is expected to be around the £23,000, which is the current retail price of the Mitsubishi L200.
