The top selling performance coupe in the UK is the latest Ford Mustang as its US success appeals to UK buyers.
During the first half of 2016, the Ford Mustang has outsold any other car with an output of more than 250 bhp – including BMWs, Porsches and Jaguars.
Since January, 2,317 Mustangs have been sold by Ford compared to 1,446 Jaguar F-TYPEs and 1,367 BMW Series 6s.
According to Ford, 70 per cent of its Mustang customers have opted for the 5.0-litre V8 engine rather than the 2.3-litre EcoBoost option.
