Volkswagen Crafter offers running costs savings

With the cost of fuel showing no sign of coming down, those looking for fuel efficient Volkswagen deals may be interested in the new and improved VW Crafter.

The model is one of the leading large vans in terms of running costs and fuel consumption.

Volkswagen's Crafter offers up to 38.7 mpg, lower running costs and emissions from 199 g/km, as well as a new engine range using Volkswagen's latest 2.0-litre TDI common rail engine, already proven in the new Transporter and Amarok.

Motorists looking for VW deals can choose from a number of power outputs in the Crafter – 109, 136, 143 and 163 PS – all with BlueMotion Technology.

Thanks to VW's innovative green technology, the model offers further savings in fuel costs and emissions, while delivering the same or higher levels of torque at lower engine speeds than the previous five-cylinder, 2.5-litre Blue TDI engine.

A recent study conducted by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles UK found that only 35 per cent of fleet operators have considered planning routes to boost efficiency on the road.
