Volkswagen has scooped a prestigious award for the second year in a row.
The Volkswagen Jetta Sport 2.0 TDI DSG has been named the Caravan Club Towcar of the Year 2013 – the first vehicle to achieve successive wins.
A panel of ten judges gave the award to the carmaker, who praised the motor's performance when pulling caravans in a number of different situations, as well as for its practicality as a family car.
Greenville Chamberlain, chairman of the Caravan Club, said he would like to offer congratulations to all the winners at the awards ceremony.
Mr Chamberlain added: "Special plaudits go to the terrific Volkswagen Jetta, it really is a great vehicle and it proved itself time and time again with the judges during testing."
The awards were presented by special guest Sir Ranulph Fiennes, who handed over the different classes of gongs to the winning manufacturers after attending the testing regime at Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire.
