Every new Vauxhall will be hybrid or pure electric by 2024

A whole raft of fresh Vauxhall models are heading our way over the next two years including an all-new Corsa, Vivaro and Mokka X.

The brand that recently became part of the same group as Peugeot and Citroen has announced it will launch eight completely new or refreshed models by 2020.

By the end of 2020, it will have four electrified vehicles amongst its range, and by 2024, every Vauxhall model on sale will be a hybrid or pure electric car.

Vauxhall says it will introduce an all-new model every year before 2021, with the sixth-generation supermini arriving in 2019, along with the follow-up to the successful British-built Vivaro as a light commercial vehicle or standard passenger car.

The second-gen Mokka X is expected to reach showrooms in 2020, playing a pivotal role in expanding the company’s proportion of SUV sales from 25 to 40 per cent by 2021.

Meanwhile, the Combo range will be fleshed out with additional variants and equipment, significantly renewing Vauxhall’s LCV portfolio.

In terms of Vauxhall’s electrification plans, orders for both the all-electric new five-seater Corsa and the Grandland X plug-in hybrid will be open by summer 2019.

There’s bad news for the Adam and Viva though. Both compact city cars will disappear from the Vauxhall range at the end of 2019.
