Vauxhall reveals new SUV

Vauxhall has confirmed details of the new Grandland X SUV ahead of its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Part of the automaker’s X family, the new SUV is able to seat five people and has a large luggage space – making it the largest SUV produced by Vauxhall.

Technology is also key to the Grandland X, with a number of onboard safety features such as adaptive cruise control with pedestrian detection, driver drowsiness alert and advanced park assist.

Drivers will also benefit from increased connectivity with the new generation of IntelliLink featuring the personal service assistant Vauxhall OnStar. There is also provision to charge smartphones wirelessly via inductive charging points.

Exterior-wise, the SUV has strong wheel arches and protective cladding on the lower body to protect during off-road activities.

There are no details of pricing, but the Grandland X is expected to be on general sale during the first-half of 2018.
